Lot of filters here. Sorry. I tried to colour it and that was a terrible mistake. So I played with it in PhotoExpress and now it looks almost as the original drawing before my inept colouring attempt. OK, I could not help myself, and I changed the colour balance, too.
I am not really satisfied with this piece, but I spent so much time AND pencil on this, that it would be almost impossible for me to be completely dissatisfied. That would hurt...:-]
Even Legolas does not look exactly like I wanted him to look and my image of him is slightly different, but I hope that next time the result will be much more satisfying than this.

Beautiful.
Love the frame around Legolas, love the green tone, love the way the sky and the sea merge.
It really looks like a fragment of a dream.

Simply gorgeous...*o* Very detailed, the style that you added the colour, it makes it very attractive. :D
I like his expression, Legolas seems to be in a daze, wondering...wishing...it's simply such a nice longing look! ^^The boat in the water is also very lovely also, and so are the gulls! :)

Brilliant - absolutely brilliant. How in the world can this get so few comments, it is simply unjustified! This is just beautiful work, so rich in detail and evocative as well. Firstly, I agree with Per that framing Legolas in the middle, and then moulding the cloud detail and matching it with the outside layer is impressive, and good for composition. It reminds me of Alan Lee, as he does this quite a lot. The details are impressive, from the gulls to Legolas' face and clothing, to the beautiful swan-ship in on the waves. All of it is very pleasing to the eye. I seriously can't see anything for improvement here. Even the work you've done on PE seems to have given the image an extra dimension. Almost like old paper, only slightly greener than the usual sepia-tones that we're used to seeing. But this works perfectly in line with green being the main colour of the Elf of Mirkwood. And I'm not quite sure, but he looks a litle dark-haired here. So much the better, in my eyes ;). I love this one. +FAVE

This is unbelievably good! Those clouds sort of melting together with the ocean, his sorrowful expression, the whole mood of this picture is great. Really beautiful. +fav.

Maddiel, this is so increbly lovely. No doubt one of your best yet:D
The clouds and the sea with the gulls and the ship provides a fantastic background, without making it confusing.
A great idea framing legolas in the middle. It really adds to the composition. I love the way you made him 'melt' into the background, as if it symbolized his fate as an elf, which also his sorrowful expression reflects.
And as always, your talent for elven clothes indeed comes to its right here.
This is just too damn perfect! :+fav: :D

*wonderfully* moody -- great treatment of fea and sky and the gulls are a nice touch. Great shading on the face. There's something a tad awkward with the hand positions which would ne be as obviously if they were as deeply shaded as the face IMHO
